Description ACTUAL WORK LOCATION: 200 Buchner Rd, Welland, ON L3B 5N4, Canada

Role Summary Purpose: This is an 18-month contract role, in Welland, Ontario. The role is responsible for all activities related to the successful development and execution of a technical training plan, lead the training development, design, delivery and evaluation of our training programs for our Manufacturing Technicians.

Essential Responsibilities: •Developing the technical training plan which includes but is not limited to: gathering requirements, conducting needs assessments, gathering training content, training design and training delivery. •Gather and review technical, business and culture content from multiple internal sources to build a world class training plan for our Welland Brilliant Factory. •Identify key skills, knowledge and abilities required to perform the Manufacturing Technician role and translate training needs into learning formats that are relevant for the learner. •Work closely with project team subject matter experts to assess learning needs determine learning curriculum for self-directed work teams. •Source all internal/external training external content and material needed in the design and delivery of the technical training through internal and external resources •Develop, design and deliver a training curriculum that will cater to a wide range of employee experience levels. •Develop and execute a ‘Train the Trainer’ strategy and plan to sustain training activities once the plant is operational. •Manage and update technical training material, guidelines and policies, and maintain accurate training records and content. •Coordinate all technical training activities and logistics required to deliver technical training activities, through communication and collaboration to ensure training goals are achieved. •Establish training metrics and key performance indicators to measure and evaluate the success of the training and application within the manufacturing environment. •Manage budgeting and costing of the programs, negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements. •Work closely with HR, EHS and other functions to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, customer expectations while delivering a superior new hire training experience.

Qualifications Requirements: •Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or Education •Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting technical training within a business and/or training adult learners and/or SAT (Systemic Approach to Training) methodology. •Experience designing and implementing training programs: writing training policy & procedures, project management •Experience facilitating and delivering training using multiple training channels: in-class, on-line, virtual. •Must have a valid passport with the ability to travel to the US
