Job Description
Position Summary:
• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Responsibilities include analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Primary responsibilities for this position will include the following:
• Reviews Intercompany Call In Statements and ensures intercompany elimination for CMI consolidated financial reporting
• Analyze and prepare accruals
• Research variances and communicate to internal customers for resolution setting up meetings as necessary
• Prepare & upload manual JEs as deemed appropriate
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Support internal / external audits
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies
• Prepare, analyze, and verify monthly reports and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
• Bachelors’ degree in accounting or related financial discipline is REQUIRED with an advanced degree in a financial discipline being preferred.
• A minimum of 5/6 years’ financial and/or accounting experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking are a must!
• Advanced ability to work independently and manage one’s time
• Advanced ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed
• Advanced ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses
• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software

• The manager has advised that she would like to see the following experience and skills in the following:
• Reconciliation is a very big aspect of this position. Manager needs a strong candidate whom has demonstrated this in their background.
• Strong analytical skills are needed for this position.
• Someone who is able to manage and meet deadlines.
• Someone whom is able to work independently as needed but is also able to manage effectively with other people and groups.
• Intermediate level excel skills required
• A Bachelors’ Degree is the minimum degree that a candidate has to have for this position because ultimately, the manager would like to hire the successful candidate on as a full-time employee. In order to do this, a candidate has to have a minimum of a Bachelors.
• A minimum of 5-6 years’ financial and/or accounting experience is required for this position. Manager advised that candidates with lesser experience or “green” candidates won’t make it in this role. They need to have a good understanding of intercompany accounting, balance sheets, reconciliations, etc. in order to be successful.
• This is a first shift position with flexible hours meaning, as long as someone puts in an 8 hour day, they can start and end at almost any time. She advised that there are people that come in as early as 6:30 AM and as late as 9:00 AM. As long as the schedule is approved by the manager, she is completely flexible
