Job Responsibilities:
• This technician role, under the guidance of the engineering team, supports and performs “hands-on” fabrication, assembly, and test of electronic devices, assemblies, and systems associated with prototype and production hardware. The ideal candidate thrives in a self-directed learning environment that encourages technical growth. The selected candidate will develop proficiency in our state-of-the-art products, equipment, and test techniques while working in a small team environment with exposure to a variety of projects and products.

• Responsible for post-silicon lab activities related to characterization and validation of pre-production wireless products.
• The following is a list of key responsibilities that the candidate will assume: Build prototype or deliverable equipment, lay out and assemble components and circuitry, and modify equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, sketches, schematics, technical manuals, and verbal instructions;
• Repair and modify very fine pitch circuit boards using soldering equipment, microscopes and hand tools;
• Set up standard test apparatus, conduct tests and record test data following defined methods and present data in prescribed form;
• Participate in design and procedure reviews and provide feedback/recommendations to project team to aid in product definition and development;
• Interpret engineering drawings, change orders, and work instructions to troubleshoot, debug and perform routine measurements on electronic assemblies, subsystems and/or systems using common lab equipment and special test equipment;
• Participate in product certification, compliance, testing and evaluation including reviewing and extracting technical data from various sources and preparing test reports as required;
• Maintain organized and clean work area;
• Implement procedures and document processes as needed;
• Train and assist fellow team members as required.

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, or formal electronics training with 2+ years of related work experience in a similar role.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting, soldering, and repairing multi-layered circuit boards down to the component level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of surface mount components.
• Must possess basic knowledge of electronic test equipment such as an oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, logic analyzer, etc.
• Ability to adapt to soldering under a microscope, learning enhanced soldering techniques, and using highly specialized equipment. Ability to view and handle very small components while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals.
• Motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and processes and adapt to change in a professional manner. Must possess good organizational, time management, multi-tasking, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
