About the role: The Data Management Technical Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of the Data Management team. This role is hands-on, with technical staff management responsibilities. This role leads an Onshore & Offshore DW/ BI team in the delivery of functionality and capabilities to meet a variety of needs for the Client. This role coordinates between the business liaisons, Architects and DW/ BI staff to envision and create new BI services offerings and value propositions, translating business needs into DW/ BI solutions. This role manages and mentors and the staff in technical delivery, instilling and driving DW/ BI Best practices. This role acts as a coach, consultant and mentor to the DW? BI staff with the goal of increasing quality and capabilities of DW/ BI and analytic solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage On-Site & Offshore DW/ BI staff (BSA, SA, ETL, Reporting, and Data Analysts) in all aspects of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence;
• Coordinate with the Architecture and Technical Operations teams on the best and most cost effective solutions to meet business requirements.
• Facilitate and influence business partners to optimize information and analytic usage, focused on providing actionable intelligence and new insights.
• Drive accuracy and consistency in data acquisition and reporting.
• Drive agile methodology and techniques into the practices of the delivery team.
• Understand business strategy and KPIs, and provide stewardship of necessary data and metrics in support of organizational goals.
• Identify business opportunities for information usage and articulate the business value.
• Manage user expectations and help lead organizational change management efforts regarding data and analytics.
• Analyse impact of business intelligence on business processes, and recommend process improvements when appropriate to improve information content and data quality.
• Set and manage the prioritization of projects in consideration of competing business interests.
• Clear, concise and timely communication skills, with proven ability to summarize information at audience-appropriate amount of detail;
• Interface with Client, Business and IT users and executives, to communicate project plan, deliverables status, set and manage expectations.

Job Requirements
 
 
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse architectures, including star- and snowflake- schema.
• Telecom Billing and/ or Data warehouse experience.

Required Experience:
• 7+ years of consulting experience (client-facing) related to Data Warehouse, Data Integration and Business Intelligence design and implementation. Experiences need to include data mapping, ETL development and testing, and database design (for operational systems and data warehouses/marts).
• At least two years hands-on experience with BI tools (SAP Business Objects 4.1 and Tableau Software preferred but not required).
• At least four years’ hands-on experience with ETL development (Informatica experience preferred but not required).
• At least four years’ hands-on experience with Teradata.
• Experience managing technical staff of 7 or more individual contributors.
• Experience working in an agile environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform information management assessments (review of needs, data quality, data security, etc.) and create detailed strategy and roadmaps surrounding DW/ BI, Data Integration, and/or analytics.
• Financial Reporting experience.
• PMI Certification desired.
• Clear, concise and timely communication skills, with proven ability to summarize information at audience-appropriate amount of detail.
