Job Description
 
The qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting the Executive Director, Global Head of Supplier Diversity. The candidate will be required to assist with supporting this program in various tasks such as;

Core Responsibilities:
• Assist with managing diverse vendor database (controlled by third party vendor)
• Act as a liaison with diverse vendors & pre-screen suppliers
• Assist with on-going communication to diverse suppliers
• Assist with 2nd Tier reporting (finding potential primary vendors non-diverse owned for 2nd Tier spend reports)
• Creating vendor by commodity listing from database & RFP tracking spreadsheets
• Assist with surveys for the Supplier Diversity program interacting with HR and various banking related groups
• Assist with event planning and maintain vendor contact information from networking events
• Back up Executive Director when out of office
• Follow up with Sourcing managers and assist with finding suppliers to include in upcoming RFPs and track which vendors are included and which vendors are awarded business
• Assist with mentoring program, providing additional guidance to vendors to help them with the bidding process
• Conduct prequalification process with potential diverse vendors for bid opportunities
• Coordinating meetings with diverse vendors
• Assist with supplier diversity event planning
• Attend local diversity related events (daytime & evening events)

In addition to the above responsibilities the candidate will provide support in the following areas:

• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent computer skills - advance level Excel, MS Word and Knowledge of PowerPoint a plus.
• Able to work individually as well as a team player with little direction.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment.
• Excellent communication skills including strong written and verbal skills. Also the ability to present information clearly when needed.
• Good interpersonal skills – can interact well with people of all levels.
• The ability to learn quickly.
• The ability to interact with vendors.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
