Summary:
Within Horizontal Operations we are accountable for the day-to-day management of the Network Asset, Inventory and Configuration Management processes, which also includes the Sparing Strategy and ensuring operational readiness, governance, and compliance for both internal and external controls and policies.

Candidate with (Network) Asset/Inventory and Configuration Management Experience

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 years of experience working with hardware devices and Asset and Inventory Management
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
• ITIL Foundations certification - V2 or higher
• Familiarity with Product Suite (Service Manager, Asset Manager)
• Familiarity with Service Now
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience

Responsibilities:
Manage Network Asset, Inventory, and Configuration Management to maximize operational readiness.
• Maintain the integrity of Network Owned Assets
• Ensure assets are identified, inventoried, cataloged and tracked throughout their lifecycle
• Collaborate with Operations to identify sparing process and assets
• Responsible for identifying in-stock devices and reconciling disparate data with other data sources to ascertain locations and numbers needed for hot swappable sparing parts
• Responsible for cleaning devices prior to disposal
• Responsible for testing spare parts for use
• Responsible for identifying devices that are not operable and returning to manufacture through the RMA and other related equipment replacement activities
• Responsible to facilitating shipping and receiving assets to or from specified locations
• Responsible for ensuring the system of record is kept up to date
• Responsible for assisting in the creation and maintaining process documentation
• Conduct process/inventory audits, document and communicate results
• Partner with Enterprise Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team to ensure processes are in alignment and we are aware of upcoming process and tool changes.
• Partner with Project and Delivery Teams to ensure assets are registered and CI’s are created in an automated fashion
• Identify and address process improvements - be an advocate for support teams and drive process simplification
• Conduct process/inventory audits, document and communicate results
• Assist with ongoing inventory processes as needed
Skills:
• Experience and knowledge of Asset/Inventory and Configuration Management, methodologies and best practices
• Strong asset inventory management skills for the purposes of ensuring appropriate inventory stock to support sparing strategies
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to gather and analyze data, draw conclusions and present findings in a clear, concise manner
• Ability to problem solve – leverages active listening skills and seeks first to understand
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
• Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
• Ability to influence and negotiate
