Job Description
 
Position: Payroll Clerk II
Duration: 6 months (Possible Extensions | Conversion)

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and process all payroll functions related to employees while remaining consistent with Federal, State and Local requirements
• Research and provide guidance on issues while working cross functionally within the department and the company
• Plan, develop timelines, address issues and solve problems
• Work closely with high level internal/external contacts in reviewing, compiling and processing various payroll data
• Manage and handle other payroll related projects as assigned

EDUCATION
• High School Diploma/GED required
• College education/degree preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Required:
• Proficiency with MS Office Products, particularly Excel
• Ability to multi task and exhibit leadership skills and verbal/written communication skills
• High level of initiative, detail oriented, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with daily deadlines
• Flexibility and adaptability to change
• Excellent time management, follow through and organizational skills
• Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations in a professional manner
• Works well with minimal supervision and a team player

Preferred:
• Previous experience with Oracle / PeopleSoft
• Payroll knowledge of multi-state taxes

EXPERIENCE
• 2-3 years of payroll experience required
