Job Description:
• Work with Engineering team based in Raleigh, NC supporting the development and test of QC new Server SOC. Supports a highly fluid engineering lab and datacenter environment, including planning, ordering, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of server platforms, Operating Systems, networking and peripheral equipment.
• Also supports broader lab teams, including performing system rework and unit assembly, driving lab ESD compliance, shipping and receiving of equipment, and tracking equipment for audits and calibration.
• Primary Responsibilities Include: -Physical installation of server and peripheral equipment -equipment planning, budgeting, tracking, and ordering -OS and software installation, configuration, and preliminary testing
• Software, Hardware, and Firmware updates of Servers, networking gear, and peripherals
• Cabling, network and switch management -Work with engineering, IT, and facilities teams in planning of lab/datacenter infrastructure upgrades
• Helping to develop and maintain automation and process control systems.
• Role may also include: -ESD setup, maintenance and auditing -Shipping and receiving -General setup/cleanup of the lab areas
• Maintenance and tracking of SW licenses
• Maintenance of lab access controls and quarterly audits
• Test equipment tracking and calibration maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidate must have -Experience working in a lab environment
• Experience working in a datacenter environment or similar lab-based server/storage/networking management role
• Experience working with databases, word processing, and spreadsheets in a Windows desktop environment
• Moderate hands-on experience installing, configuring, and working with Linux server operating systems
• Experience with ESD Handling procedures -Experience with automation systems, -Experience working with tracking, inventory, and logging systems
• Proven track record delivering tasks on schedule in a fast-paced team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualification:
• Candidate should also be -Competent in soldering, PCB assembly, and chip reflow
• Experienced with bench level mechanical assembly -Self-motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player
• Comfortable with taking responsibility on behalf of the team
• Comfortable and able to manage their own work -Results-driven
• Excellent interpersonal skills -Resourceful and good at solving logistical problems
• Detailed oriented, paying a high level of attention throughout all aspects of their work.

Education:
• High school diploma, IT certifications in networking, Operating Systems, or similar experience, and previous experience in a server lab/datacenter environment a must.
