Job Description
 
Role & Responsibilities:
- Support services for planning and supporting customer migration from C7600s. This is single-resource, on-site engineering support role providing migration planning services and maintenance activity support/escalation. Client is replacing Cisco 7600s with either ASR9K, Nexus 6K or Arista/Juniper options. Engineer is expected to survey current device port utilization, assist with planning/remapping of ports/interfaces and participate as a 7600/IOS specialist during the customer maintenance window.
Primary support is on the planning & auditing of current Cisco 7600s. Client is responsible for configuration of replacement device that may be Cisco, Juniper or Arista.

Expertise/Certifications required:
• Strong Knowledge in following areas: BGP, ISIS, OSPF, LAN Switching & L2/L3 VPN features
• Experience with SP operations and maintenance support
• Familiar with OSS/Ticketing systems for maintenance window scheduling
• Experience in generating maintenance “Methods of Procedure”

Job Requirements
 
 
Required Qualifications:
• CCNP (R&S or Service Provider)
• 4+ years of experience in internetworking implementing and/or troubleshooting.(BGP,OSPF,ISIS) in large-scale networks
• Hands-on experience with 7600 and ASR9K performing system upgrades & configuration (REQUIRED)
• Must have excellent written, oral communication and listening skills.
