Job Description
• The Business Partner Services (BPS) Desktop Ops team within the Information Technology department works exclusively within the desktop environment and is responsible for supporting internal customers across multiple locations
• This role will assist with hands on tasks for upgrading clients from WIN7 to WIN10 and any and all tasks associated with scheduling, kicking off the upgrade, and post upgrade assistance.
• Must be able to work well with business partners and handle multiple and possibly competing interests at once time
• Configure and image new and used Dell desktop, laptop, and tablet computing devices
• Set up printers, ensure data transfer, and use MS SCCM Console to ensure software installation
• Prepare business and technical documentation
• Partner with internal customers in order to learn about business processes in an effort to gain further efficiencies in PC needs
• Position requires work hours flexibility and mobility
• Workstations and mixed printer types, basic LAN network, Windows 7 and Windows 10, and Active Directory
• Ability to think analytically and problem solve; further, make effective decisions based upon troubleshooting techniques
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to translate technical terms into easily understood concepts for business users
• Operate in a results-oriented manner: provide reliable and dependable customer service at all times
• Be aware of the business and its customers and work in a way that supports their needs; practice patience and empathy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner
• Must be self-motivated but able to work effectively in a team environment by using and supporting the BPS team to meet their objectives
• Experience using business applications including ms office suite (word, excel, outlook, sharepoint), lotus notes, adobe, etc.
