Job Description
 
The ServiceNow Rapid Technical Architect is a member of the Rapid leadership triangle (which also includes the Scrum Master and Program Manager), and is responsible for working closely with the Development Team to architect, design, build, test and deliver the project’s solution. In addition to the ServiceNow vendor being a strategic partner with Client, its core product is being leveraged to provide services to external clients as well as internal corporate functions. The Technical Architect is a multi-faceted role requiring strong technical, project management, business, leadership, communication, and people development skills. The Technical Architect executes the Sprint Management processes for each sprint: Participate in Backlog Selection and Sprint Planning meetings, helps decompose user stories into tasks, estimate tasks, work tasks, attend daily meeting, identify impediments/issues/risks, and participate in Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective. The SN Rapid Technical Architect would work across multiple programs to manage the implementation of business capabilities that would support ServiceNow for Client strategy. The role will report up through the Client ServiceNow for Client Capability Lead, but the day to day direction will be done via the SN Rapid Development Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Work with the Solution Owner and client to define application and technical requirements as well as an acceptable architecture
• Ensure the technical requirements tie back to the established ServiceNow for Client platform goals and strategy
• Work with the Solution Owner to define the Solution Concept
• Assist Solution Owner in providing accurate user story estimates
• Collaborate with Scrum Master in identifying impediments being faced by the team and their resolution
• Lead the application and technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation
• Lead the Decision Making and Evaluation of solution components, as well as Build, Buy, Reuse decisions
• Validate the solution with the stakeholders to ensure that the solution satisfies the requirements
• Review and oversee all design and development to ensure adherence to functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements
• As the link between the SO and the development team, understand the project’s vision and help communicate it to the team in technical terms via architecture and design
• Support the Development Team by understanding and balancing the many tradeoffs in technology, team skills, and risks.
• Support the Development Team in defining interfaces and functional scenarios.
• Identify and define opportunities to streamline development efforts and Platform capabilities
• Collaborate with ServiceNow practice or other Client SMEs to develop solutions

Skills:
• Domain (technical or business) knowledge of ServiceNow solutions / Modules
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration architectures
• Strong knowledge of the selected integration architecture components
• Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve
• Strong communication skills, written and oral
• Ability to provide technical leadership to project resources and the client
