Looking for Medical assistant with Receptionist experience


You will assist in answering and scheduling inbound outbound patient calls.
You will check patients in and out of the clinic, oversee patient flow and aid providers during patient treatment and examination.
You will explain procedures and treatments to patients, run laboratory tests, draw blood, and perform retinal exams.
You will work closely with Physicians and Diabetes Educators as an aligned team to support treatment and educational plans of the Physician.
You will be responsible for achieving patient satisfaction and ensure that all medical documents (patient demographics, HIPAA/OSHA, health care forms, etc.) and financial forms are completely, properly and accurately entered into the computer system.
You will assure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate and responsible for ensuring necessary documents are scanned into the EMR system.
You will handle and respond to internal and external inquiries (e.g., health-related, insurance, pharmaceutical, patient-related, etc.) and maintain good relationships with all customers.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent with 3 years of experience in primary care/clinic or healthcare setting or Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience in primary care/clinic or healthcare setting or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in primary care/clinic or healthcare setting
Administrative/office skills or experience
Experience in computerized systems (e.g. MSOffice applications, Internet, EMR or other medical records systems)
Outbound & inbound Phone & Patient skills
Previous experience in Insurance verification

Nice to Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Science and 4+ years of experience in primary care/clinic or healthcare setting are strongly preferred.
Knowledge of various diabetes types, medical devices and treatments/therapies.
Experience as a Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
Experience in medical insurance processing and thorough knowledge of procedures and description codes for the medical insurance industry.
Accounts receivables and/or payables experience preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting and business math.
Comprehensive understanding of standard medical insurance plan differences associated with allowables, negotiated discounts, copays, etc.
Project coordination or management skills/training.
Adaptable and willingness to respond to changes in processes, systems, people and priorities.
Have performed lab test in the past
