Job opportunity with Banking client in Amherst, NY

Job Brief (Purpose)
• Update accounts in collections systems and host systems with status data, as well as all subsequent milestone data. Includes statusing accounts, blocking lines and statements, Add, change and delete information in multiple file screens within multiple systems.
• Complete DDA Offset procedures for overdrawn accounts as well as blocking DDA accounts per branch request
• Review files and records to answer requests for information from business partners and Collections: may include requests for payoffs, documents (such as settlement or paid in full letters, payment histories, original loan notes and mortgages, ect), settlement offers, and decisions requiring escalations and recommendations to management
• Check, distribute and/or respond to documents and correspondence
• Apply account numbers to miscellaneous forms and letters for processing
• Monitor accounts for active military duty and apply or remove appropriate account information
• Review past due accounts for line closure and change risk rating and interest rate
• Close accounts whose principal balance has been paid but may contain fees and interest that could result in unnecessary charge off.
• Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in operating instructions
• Meet minimum individual and departmental goals and service level agreements
• Participate in and facilitate information sharing with your manager, business partners, and peers in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure widespread communication
• Evaluate key performance indicators associated with designated operational processes, pinpointing financial and quality areas of opportunity and selecting appropriate courses of action

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer proficient, including MS Office Suite programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Proven ability to stay focused in a continuous process flow and keep pace within the work team
• Superior verbal and written communications skills
