Job Description
 
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Continuous learning, as defined by the Company's learning philosophy, is required. Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.

Experience:
- Demonstrated experience with predictive modeling and forecasting, data interpretation, analysis, and reporting; operational and financial data; and key performance indicators as it relates to a business environment.
- Seven (7) years related experience, typically in two (2) subject areas (e.g. financial analysis, financial planning, health care economics, statistical modeling, business decisions, analysis, workforce optimization, workforce management, demand management, capacity planning, or resource budgeting / forecasting).
- Experience in one of the following is a plus: health insurance, healthcare / health information management, Medicare Advantage risk adjustment, or Medicare Advantage quality programs (Star, HEDIS)

Skills/knowledge/abilities required:
- Advanced skills in MS Excel are required, with emphasis on manipulation and analysis of data.
- Experience applying statistical tools and/or best-practice techniques to forecasting problems is preferred.
- Experience querying and analyzing data using MS Access, SQL Server, and/or SAS is a plus.
- Previous experience with Oracle, NetSuite ERP a plus.
- Must be a self-starter; possess excellent communication and problems solving skills, excellent team building and facilitation skills.
- Outstanding critical thinking skills, an ability to pierce through to the essential underlying drivers, identify problems and develop models and analysis that form the basis for executive decision-making.
- Ability to arrive at practical, actionable solutions that are executable and with a commitment to a sound financial operating discipline and the company's strategic goals.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to focus on the details.
- Ability to build strategic relationships with all levels of management.
- Excellent analytical, planning, problem solving, verbal, and written skills to communicate complex ideas.
- Ability to work independently, within a team environment and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
