Job Title IT Project Manager
Duration 6 Months (Contract to Perm)

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is seeking an experienced IT Manager to fill the role of Project Manager for high-profile IT projects in our Enterprise Technology, Architecture and Data Analytics organization. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience managing IT projects per these requirements:

Art of Project Management:
Responsibility:
• Managing quality, cost and duration of IT projects. Project quality outcomes is most important for client with speed to market being the primary driver.
• Completing a project early = faster time to market = increased market share and significant competitive advantage.
• Leadership environment: Building a collaborative, productive and engaged team. Mentoring.
• Understanding the roles and responsibilities of team members to provide their Resource Manager with high quality feedback for effective coaching and on-going professional development.
• Customer facing at all times: Engaging and managing all relationships within the EPMO and the project team, including Sponsors, Developers, Solution Architect, Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Lead.
• Effective stakeholder engagement: Ability to establish and maintain trust-based relationships immediately upon arrival. Maintain consistent communication both formally with written reports and informally as a trusted advisor.
• Leader: Great communication and motivational skills to manage a large, diverse team.
• Ability to articulate vision and business case of project to team as to where it fits within PGR organization, its objective, visibility and affects.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability.
• Communication: Presentations and facilitate meetings to upper management, stakeholders, teams.

Science of Project Management:
• Scale: Management of large, complex projects crossing multiple application domains and technologies.
• Type: Technology infrastructure, architecture, infrastructure process automation, security, and data management and analytics.
• Methodologies: Waterfall, Agile (SDLC), Scrum.
• Tools: MS Project Server 2013, SharePoint 2013.
• Certifications: PMP, Scrum (CSM, CSP) Any agile certification, or related training.

• Planning: Specific examples in defining, estimating, scheduling, updating and reporting project deliverables and resources in a detailed fashion using a PM tool such as Primavera or MS Project.
• Scope: All phases of project management from HLP (High Level Planning) to Execution to Deployment. Must have managed at least one large project for a full cycle.
• Management: Working with stakeholders to help define, manage, and negotiate project scope to deliver the highest value functionality early in the project lifecycle.
• Risk management: Foreseeing risk and its impact to team members and project. Developing realistic mitigation plans and reporting formally and communicating to appropriate managers.
• Metrics: Formal reporting of risk management, measuring of baselines, budget, resource planning, and quality. Performance metrics and accountability: Activity Burn Down charts, earned value. Emphasis on reporting progress in an agile team environment as well as standard project status reporting.
• Work force management: Experience in managing onshore and offshore project teams, including collaboration with both remote and co-located teams. Skilled in developing, influencing and motivating a diverse work force. Responsible for accurate tracking of all time.
• Vendor management: SOW (statement of work), contract negotiation, POC (proof of concept), and vendor selection.
• Change management: Implementation of large projects and the impact of environmental and cultural changes.
• Create and maintain artifacts: Project plans, schedules, budgets, risk, communication plans, status reports.
• Consultant: Flexibility in assignments, teams. Open to movement and change within the EPMO.
• Capital: Accountable for the planning, tracking and reporting on all project related capital expenses throughout the entire lifecycle.

Requirement:
• Have a minimum of ten years project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects in large corporate environments.
• Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and is comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
• Exhibit leadership qualities that enable them to motivate the project team to achieve outstanding results.
• Possess a general understanding of various technologies and technical concepts that could include: application programming, database design, system design, internet and web presence, or client/server architectures.

Other qualifications:
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• “Big Four” consulting experience a plus.
• Experience in managing agile-based projects a plus, but not necessary.
• Knowledge of ITIL a plus, but not necessary.
• Insurance knowledge and experience a plus, but not necessary.
