Job Description
 
Summary: The primary responsibility for this position will be to take current trainings and make the needed updates to them.
Will also be responsible for the facilitation of some trainings on occasion.
Conduct training and development programs for employees.

Skills include curriculum and training design.
Major job duties and responsibilities for this position will include the following:
* Monitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness
* Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills
* May assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups or consultation with managers
* Organise and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials
* Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
* A minimum of a High School Diploma is required – a Bachelors’ Degree is the preference though. If someone only has a HSD, they will need to have several years of applicable work experience under their belt in order to be considered for this opportunity.
* Manager is seeking candidates in the following related experience: e-Learning development – specifically Storyline 2 or Camtasia o Instructional Design o Experience with facilitating training
* Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
* Basic knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects * Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, and leadership technique
* Basic knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods
* Basic knowledge of human behaviour and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods
* Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Word and PowerPoint Additional information from the manager:
* The working hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, there is some flexibility with the start and end times. No overtime is expected to be needed for this position – manager is expect person to only work 40 hours per week.
* There may be a possibility that some travel may be needed. Travel would be from Columbus to Nashville (or visa versa) for training and meetings
