Job Description:
• Assists Recruiting Staff with providing associate, employment, and placement counseling services for clerical, technical/professional and supervisory level jobs
• Establishes an understanding of benefits, relocation policy, EEO compliance, company policy administration, and other related activities in order to provide support to Recruiting and Staffing team and company associates
1. Interfaces with applicants throughout the hiring process. Assists applicants of all levels. Administers office visit for applicants
2. Generates recruiting and staffing correspondence and prepares for distribution to internal and external candidates, management and HR
3. Provides research support via the internet or hardcopy library. Performs basic searches of recruiting database for internal candidates
4. Produces reports via applicant tracking system and HRIS system
5. Provides administrative support as needed to the recruiting and staffing team
6. Conducts reference checks on applicants. Requests and verifies background investigations and drug testing results
7. Oversees the completion of the payroll/personnel system activities in accordance with time and quality standards
8. Reviews and verifies employment requisition data/authorized approvals; makes or obtains necessary corrections. Verifies opportunities are correctly posted
9. Acts as a liaison between new associate and the enrollment process
10. Assists with preparing and carrying out equal employment opportunity plans through direct hire, transfer and promotion of qualified minority candidates
11. May assist in the development/interpretation of forecasts of local or centralized office needs for clerical/entry level professional/technical personnel as assigned; operates applicant flow process; provides support for internal transfers/promotions as requested
12. Performs other duties as assigned

Education: Undergraduate studies in Human Resources or related discipline.Experience: No experience necessary with an undergraduate degree in HR or related discipline
Experience in insurance or HR related discipline helpful.Knowledge: Human Resources policies and procedures such as employment/placement, salary administration, benefits administration, processing systems such as payroll/personnel and applicant flow, and business clerical practices and procedures
Skills/Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills for frequent contact with all levels of office associates
Ability to set work priorities and recommend solutions to recruiting/administration issues. Operate personal computer and work related work software, including the internet. Ability to perform intermediate mathematics and operate calculator.
