As an SDE II UI Engineer , you will work with some of the best technological minds to help us personalize traveler’s experiences. Powering a global set of brands and pushing the frontiers of technology, you will be part of a team building a platform that provides the best traveler centric user experiences.
As a SDE II UI Engineer, you’ll be fully involved across the entire development lifecycle from concept to shipping. You will mentor a group of highly motivated individuals, and champion industry standard methodologies in UI development across the team.
The focus of this position will be on improving the traveler journey while building next generation itineraries for travelers. Your project will help our travelers find the right information in their itineraries and personalize their travel experiences.
You’ll work with a talented team of engineers, designers and product managers with a strong focus on building a great traveler journey experience. You’ll also have open access to all of client’s projects so you can learn how we build scalable software using the latest build systems, testing tools and UI technologies in the cloud to deliver apps quickly.

Job Requirements
A passion for UI development, and pixel-perfect attention to detail
Experience with mobile-first UI development
Experience optimizing web pages for performance
Experience with ES5, ES6 JavaScript
Experience with one or more JavaScript libraries/frameworks like jQuery, Backbone, Angular, or React
Experience working with AJAX and JSON
Strong CSS development experience
LESS/CSS development
Experience with semantic HTML
Experience with client-side tempting languages like Mustache or Handlebars
Experience with one or more of the Javascript test frameworks (Jasmine, Qunit, mocha) - Required
Exposure to backend technologies (Java or Scala, Spring framework) – Optional but a big plus
Experience in mentoring a team in coding standards, design patterns and general best practices - Required
Test Driven Development (TDD) or other development approaches with a focus on high quality tests - Required
Experience working in an agile environment
Good written and verbal communication skills that can clearly articulate technical details
Great attitude and work ethics
