Job Description
 
BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for participating in and supporting the sourcing and procurement activities related to business critical initiatives, targeting the best value for client. These initiatives may include specialized health insurance products, services, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO),Information Technology categories such as services/software/equipment/telecom, and other commodity categories. Also responsible for making recommendations to the Sourcing management team based on data analysis leveraging both internal and external resources.

This position is a key team member in the procurement organization and, as such, contributes to product and service quality and cost savings captured through strategic sourcing, demand management and process improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Participate in cross divisional strategic sourcing activities for the acquisition of goods and services.
2. Prepare reports, performs spend analysis and benchmarks category spend.
3. Participate in the sourcing, negotiation, contracting and vendor management processes by analyzing key data from various sources, including, but not limited to purchase orders, RFPs and legal documents.
4. Gather 3rd party secondary research.
5. Collect and analyze data from disparate internal and external sources
6. Participate in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) meetings w/ suppliers and Internal Stakeholders/Business owners
7. Generate supplier performance reports for established metrics and overall program monitoring
8. Participate in the analysis of internal and external market data to develop risk assessments, competitive intelligence, best practices, etc. related to sourcing events.
9. Research fact based inquiries.
10. Maintain Corporate Strategic Sourcing databases.
11. Participate in interviews of key internal stakeholders/business owners to define specifications and requirements including.
12. Assist in the development of financial models to support the sourcing process.
13. Participate in the development of business process strategies.
14. Prepare the documentation of workflows associated with total cost of ownership analysis in support of sourcing strategies.
15. Assist in the development of financial and/or analytical models to support the sourcing function.
16. Support the negotiation and preparation of standard legal documents.
17. Participate in the implementation and transition processes upon completion of a sourcing event.
18. Make suggestions to management regarding the continuous improvement of the procurement organization.
19. Support vendor rationalization and demand management activities.
20. Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program policies.

Job Requirements
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree and 5 years of commercial print experience, or 9 years of commercial print shop experience.
• Print equipment (traditional and digital) experience.
• Knowledge of print application software capabilities.
• Knowledge of print industry technologies and processes.
• Clear and concise interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* 2 years experience in financial analysis.
Graphical applications experience (e.g., Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark Express, etc.)
