Job Description
 
Role: Product Manager
DURATION: 18 months
WORKSITE: San Jose (onsite only)

Responsibilities
• Own and Manage the portfolio end-to-end for Learning, through all different routes to market
• Fully understand market landscape through engagement with Market Research teams, through participation at conferences, SEVTs, TABs, EBCs, Customers engagements
• Foster engagement with Customers, Analysts, Stakeholders to collect requirements, understand market landscape
• Understand portfolio performance through data reporting analysis (dashboards, LSRT…), market forecasts, learning partner engagements, field engagement.
• Know the state of the business accurately and in detail.
• Provide input into the Business Strategy team to ensure successful adoption of proper business frameworks and templates; adopt business templates to make successful changes to our portfolios
• Understand portfolio landscape through knowledge of strategic roadmaps, BU roadmaps, executive engagements
• Interface with Business Units to drive alignment, product and technology mapping in conjunction with internal SMEs
• Facilitate Engagement with Bus Dev and Customer Acquisition function to enable proper messaging development and content creation; provide Product Value Proposition and Positioning to Bus Dev and Customer Acquisition team to develop the marketing strategy and the GTM plan; define Personas and Target audiences; identify metrics for the GTM plan
• Ensure insertion into executive presentations at major events
• Align with Stakeholders (Business Units, Channels, Services, Sales,…) to drive adoption of mainstream portfolio, identify gaps and create portfolio customization or expansion to support stakeholders
• Coordinate across the L@C Marketing team to define Go To Market strategy, messaging around cross functional marketing efforts
• Align with development teams (Product Development, Certifications, Operations, Production) through and with the support of Marketing Operations to drive commit processes and tollgates and successful execution of the development process
• Select right business cases and drive business case financial analysis, streamlining our portfolio
• Drive innovation insertion in processes and products in conjunction with proper Advisory Boards and Portfolio Management
• Drive core team meetings for alignment across the organization within each focus areas
• Define and drive product roadmap, lifecycle, end of life, pricing, route to market, portfolio ownership (throughout the organization), forecast and forecast accuracy

Skills Required
• Understanding business requirements, processes and definitions to be able to write business plans, commit documents and drive business discussion across the organization
• Understanding Technology areas, to be able to engage with BU, Channels and Development teams
• Being able to engage in stakeholder negotiation with the proper level of negotiation skills to drive adoption and alignment
• Sense of ownership to enable the organization to drive the product to market through a good execution path, supervised by Portfolio Management
