Job Description
 
• Automotive Telematics Team is seeking an individual with experience in the following areas:
• Hardware Design Verification: The Design Verification Testing(DVT) of the RF and Baseband systems contained in today's mobile wireless products
• Data mining: The analysis and documentation of the DVT data sets
• Test Stations: The maintenance of the Auto Team's DVT Test Stations & Equipment
• RF Transmit and Receiver Matching: Network Analyzer based skills including reference plane establishment and SMITH Chart usage for topologies consisting of discrete shunt & series elements

Minimum Qualification:
• Experienced in and understands
• 2G/3G/4G mobile transceivers and 3GPP's performance testing
• The baseband systems in a mobile device: Power, Memory Types, Sensors, Imaging, Audible sound in/out, Display, USB, Reference Clocks, and UICC
• Hands-on lab experience that encompassed Design Development, Design Analysis & Debug, and Design Verification Testing
• RF skills: Impedance, VSWR, reflection, loss, attenuator, mixer, combiner, power meter, spectrum analyzer
• Power Integrity, PDN assessment, Signal Integrity

Preferred Qualification:
• The support engineer has to really have a strong background in Electrical Engineering Fluent knowledge in the following areas:
• The ability to read and fully interpret electrical schematics, block diagrams, layout drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of materials
• The 2G/3G/4G mobile wireless transceivers in today's mobile devices
• The Global Navigation Systems in a mobile device
• The Wireless connectivity in a mobile device: WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, NFC
• Transmission line fundamentals and topologies
• Buses: PCIe, CAN, Ethernet, SDIO, I2C, LVDS, SPI, GPIB
• PC Tools: QPST, QXDM, JTAG
• PC Skill: Windows files and systems, various basic OS settings, installing/updating drivers, Ethernet settings
• MS Tools: EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote
• Soldering & rework skills at small scale (0402, 0201)
• Ability to communicate clearly, organize effectively and document work thoroughly
• Strong desire to be a contributing member of a multi-disciplined world-class collaborative Automotive Product Design & Development Team

Education:
• Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or a 2 year technical degree, trade school, or related military training with several years of relevant experience as an Hardware Support Engineer is required.
• 5+ years of hands on RF measurement and RF matching experience is required.
